I recently made a couple of adjustments to the edit of ‘Mardröm’, a teaser for a screenplay/feature in the pipeline, written by Jake Bowditch. Enjoy!

BlueCloud: Grace & Daniel’s Wedditing

Yes I said Wedditing! It’s a ridiculous phrase that I can’t help using when referring to this project, no doubt it’ll creep up again in 2013 when we have a few more weddings in the diary.

So before Christmas, I finalised and posted the DVDs for Grace & Daniel’s Wedding, my most recent major editing process. Working alongside BlueCloud Photography, my buddy Jake and I shot a wedding and I edited it. (Run time: 42mins)

Working with such friendly, welcoming photographers was a real treat, as was capturing everlasting memories for lovely people on a gorgeous summers day. When slowly creeping into the final stages of post, I started thinking about the style of the DVD cover and credits etc. I contacted the guys at BC, acquired their logo font and fashioned a BC Videography slate.

Sleeping Trees – Not Treasure Island Promo Package

This year, Sleeping Trees have written and performed a brand new show:

‘Not Treasure Island’

I’ve seen the show live about 5 times and each time I’ve left the theatre wiping happy tears from my eye holes. It really is very funny. Anyway, I knocked up a vid to promote ahead of nonstop performances throughout August at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Not Treasure Island – 2012 Promo

In November, I directed a multi-cam shoot of a full performance of Not Treasure Island at Chichester University (Where they study their MA). After the show, I headed to the bar with my 600D to grab some audience feedback in a voxpop styley.

A week or two later, the full performance video was ready, so I sent it off for review. Whilst awaiting feedback, I started working on the DVD cover. Designed mostly in Photoshop CS6, the front cover picture was spliced from the 2012 Ed Fringe poster (designed by Matt Bonner – englishbreakfast.org). On the back it contains the shows synopsis and reviews from professional bodies. The back cover photograph was taken by Thom Pearson.

After some video tweaks and printing the DVD cover, the Promo pack was ready. Below is the DVD menu design (created in DVD Studio Pro); featuring moving images of the Full Performance, Audience Feedback and the 2012 Promo vid (2013 promo vid coming soon) and a 40sec audio track of the poem they recite at the beginning of the show.

I’m signing this project off today, these DVDs will be sent for theatres to snatch the ‘trees’ up well in advance for their Spring tour of 2013!

Arggggg.
